• Biography

  Meiji's mother died from illness before he was one, leaving him to be raised by his father, Edo Phoenix. Edo's friends Takuma and Mizuchi Saio, as well as his co-worker, Jun Manjoume helped take care of Meiji. Due to the amount of loss Edo suffered in his life, he became extremely over protective of Meiji and constantly worried about his son's safety to the point that Meiji felt like he was living in a bubble.
  
  Meiji wanted to become a pro duelist like his father, but Edo forbid it. Still, in private Meiji would play Duel Monsters with Manjoume's apprentice, Idara. The two boy's helped each other improve at the game. In public Meiji would always be there to support Idara during his duel training.
  
  When Idara got accepted to Duel Academy at fourteen, Meiji wanted to go with him and become a student as well. Of course, like usual Edo forbid it. Being brave for once, Meiji snuck out and got on the boat Idara was on, which was headed to Duel Academy. Meiji disguised himself as a Ra Yellow student in order to be in the dorm rank as Idara.
